12 Day Of Lipstick #11 – No7 High Shine Plum Blush

IMG_0244

Although this is one of my most worn glosses it’s actually far from my favourite. I don’t consider it to be high shine and it doesn’t last 10 seconds before I have to reapply. It lives in my every day makeup box and it’s what I pop on when I don’t want to wear a colour but I don’t want to look dead. Generally my foundation knocks all of the colour out of my lips and I need a little tint.. this is perfect for that. Although it doesn’t last long as a gloss it leaves a natural hint of colour behind which is just what I’m looking for.

The colour is lovely and would be great over my MAC Plumful lipstick but I wouldn’t suggest any of the glosses from this range unless you’re looking to reapply them CONSTANTLY! Another little bugbear is that the applicator is too rough so it’s tough to get the product on your lips as it feels like the more you put on the more you remove but that could just be personal preference. Any felt applicator is going to lose you product but I think L’Oreals Glam Shine glosses do it really well with their doe footed variety. *I digress.. as always..

Lipglosses are always a bit crap. The only good ones I have are the l’oreal glam shine like you said, the revlon super lustrous and the NYX mega shine. Most other glosses are barely there and are gone before you leave the house. Really pretty colour though, if that was a lipstick or a stain it would be great.

the gloss itself isn’t all that bad, it’s not sticky which I like and you always have to reapply a gloss but the applicator gives so little product that I think it makes it worse!

I would skip this gloss based on your review but the colour itself is really nice!

It is gorgeous – but that’s what I find with most glosses to – whey look great when you first apply them, and 5 mins later they are gone. Unless of course you’re going to a boring party, and applying lipgloss after everyy sip of your drink is about as interesting as it’s going to get 😉
