14/03 – The End of Google Reader?

I’m still hearing conflicting information regarding the removal of this much used google function but to be on the safe side I thought I’d use today’s diary post to remind you that you can follow my blog in a variety of different ways! Since jumping from blogger to WordPress I read all of my favourites on my bloglovin app and there’s a reason I gave them pride if place in my sidebar.. I genuinely think it’s the best site for the purpose. Of course there are many alternatives, scroll down on the right and you’ll see them, you can even register for email alerts if you don’t fancy signing up to anything new. Another option is to like my facebook page, I publish all of my blog posts and videos over there as well as my twitter feed so you won’t miss a single conscious thought that way!

If you’re a fellow blogger leave your links below so we can all take a peek and those using google reader can start to rebuild their reading list!

I never really relied on Google Reader because I use bloglovin app, website, facebook pages and twitter but I recently discovered that you can also put in a youtube channel link in the bloglovin website or app and follow it that way, you won’t miss any new videos because let’s face it sometimes you don’t get notification of your fave channel’s new videos either posted in the daily email from youtube or notification from channel’s I subscribe to so I tried posting the channel link into bloglovin and it works, you’ll never miss another new video from your fave youtuber again!

Another good way of finding blog’s is hello cotton, pinterest and sending out a facebook message or tweet and ask your subscriber’s which blog’s they also like to follow.

Just signed up to a BlogLovin account and I actually quite like it, however I still prefer GFC. Seems odd they would get rid of it when so many people like it.

I much prefer to use Blogovin, I like how it groups all of your unread posts together.

I havnt been blogging long and just as my google followers goes up they decide to close down which is annoying. I have signed up to Bloglovin’ and it does seem good, especially the app!:)

I have added the widget to my side bar so to follow me on Bloglovin’ go to http://www.mymakeupwardrobe.blogspot.com

I think if you just add the “Google+Circle” icon and tell your followers to add you to their circles, you can maintain them. If you’re on Blogger platform just add it by going into Layout, Add Element, then it’s like the first or second one on the list.

I also use Bloglovin to read all of my favorite blogs. I find it more convenient. But I am still a little confused. Will I lose my readers who sub through GFC?

I actually really love bloglovin. It’s convienent for many of us on the go. But I am still confused, will I lose all of my readers thru GFC once the google reader goes away?
