Temporary Toning

Toning/firming creams are a con, right? Well… If you expect them to do what only diet and exercise can then yes but if you’re looking for your skin to look better for a short period of time they definitely have their place there and with the biggest night out of the year approaching it’s something that you might be interested in. This range aims to improve the look of your skin and for me it does.. the scrub smooths and gives it a glow, the body butter hydrates and the serum ‘tones’. I’m loathed to say that it tones because of course it doesn’t REALLY.. it’s a fleeting improvement but I can definitely see a difference and if I had a big night out this would be in my routine leading up to it. The stand out is of course the serum.. that’s what does the real work so if you’re looking for firming that’s what you’ll want to try.. the scrub and butter are nice go-withs but they could be replaced by others if you have favourites you’d rather use instead.

If you’re looking to look better for the night give this a go but I cannot stress enough that you’re not going to get lasting results here (which is why I’m posting about it in party season rather than new year) but I highly recommend it and would love to hear from any of you who’s tried this or anything similar.. we’re all interested in a little help sometimes and every review no matter how small is useful! Just because it worked for me doesn’t mean it worked for you so weigh in (get it) in the comments below!

I’ve tried the Somatoline Tummy and Hips treatment and I gotta say it really works. Like you said, it doesn’t replace a proper diet and exercise but it does help you get a slimmer figure. Not dramatically of course but I have seen a change when using this product. My tummy area which is my main problem area felt tighter and more toned than before using this product. The only thing I dislike is the smell. I haven’t tried any of the Sanctuary Spa products yet so far; how is the smell? Because if I could find a product that does what the Somatoline product does but with a better smell…holy grail alert!

I have been looking for a irming product for my bust area, which is getting a little crepey now in my old age 😉 That being said, I’d prefer something that conditioned and maintained the skin rather than the temporary lift. It is a reasonably priced product though, so I may just give it a whirl.

Not a cream, but my secret (being a firm size 8 after three children) is a diet, exercise and a body brush! Yes, it works so well, and works deep on your body to do good as well as tone!
