2014 Wishlist

Untitled 2

It really does feel like yesterday I was writing my 2013 wish list, time flies, huh? Above are the items that have been on my radar for some time, some longer than others but all I’m hoping will be mine in 2014. A couple I have my eye on buying while we’re in New York as they’re cheaper or more readily available. I’ve always been a silver jewellery fan but everything that’s caught my eye lately has been gold, Bauble Bar is top of my list to order from and now thankfully ships to the UK. Kate Spade make the most beautiful watches and I had been considering a yellow or rose gold Michael Kors for a while but I think Kate Spade may be the way to go. It’s not a big brand in the UK yet so it’s a little different whereas it feels like EVERYONE is wearing Michael Kors. I was going to treat myself to a new pair of Uggs before our trip but let’s be honest I’ve treated myself to enough and I have big spending plans while we’re there so I decided to save my money but I do still want a new pair of tall black ones. Tory Burch flats have been on my wishlist for about 3 years but I just can’t justify the price for ballet flats.. this is the only item I don’t know if I’ll end up buying.. it’s not the money it’s the money for what they are. Jo Malone is a luxury brand I have always been interested in but last year I sampled their fragrances and found one I loved.. Earl Grey & Cucumber. I know that’s not for everyone but I love it and I think a little bottle of that will be mine soon. My biggest upcoming purchase is hopefully going to be an Alexander Wang Rockie.. it’s the more compact version of the iconic studded Rocco bag, lighter and better for my shorter frame.. it’s been on my NYC shopping list for months and even with taxes it’s considerably cheaper in the states so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I find a colour combination I love. Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders have been much talked about recently and although I managed to resist the uber expensive palette I really want to try the individual dim light powder.. have any of you got it? Is it worth the money? Lastly since I bought my first Rebecca Minkoff bag (or rather it was gifted to me) just a year ago I have desperately wanted to get my hands on one of her quirky pouches, I bought my friend Caz one for Christmas but again resisted a purchase of my own.. there are so many combinations of text and colours, I’m hoping to find a good selection to browse while we’re in New York.

It’s a high priced wish list but then I never want the affordable items for long before I go out and buy them under the guise of needing to review it for my blog.. hehe. These are all a little crazier and not things I would impulse buy but things I’ve longed and long for.. very materialistic of me but that’s a shopaholic for you!

What’s on your wishlist this year?

I tried the Earl Grey and Cucumber the last time I was in Jo Malone and it’s amazing! For some strange reason I didn’t think I’d like it, but after some blind testing it completely blew me away – great choice! Xx

I am such a lover of black and gold and I think gold has made such a come back in recent years! Lovely post!

My best friend was wearing a Jo Malone perfume on New Years Eve – I can’t remember what one it was (I may have been a bit tipsy!), but it was amazing. It really made me want to go and have a whiff of all the ones they have on offer.

I’ve got hourglass ambient lighting powder in diffused light and also the latest limited edition pallette with 3 powders – both defnetly worth the money and hype! Makes such a difference to my dry skin – lights it up when it can look dull.

That watch and the jewellery all look lovely! I’m a big fan of Jo Malone, especially Earl Grey & Cucumber and also Blackberry & Bay.
Hope you don’t mind me asking, where is the gold phone case in the picture from? It’s probably in your post and I’m just being stupid but I keep reading it and can’t find it anywhere haha!

I’d love a pair of Uggs but I don’t think I’ve ever paid more than £40 for a pair of shoes/boots before! x

Hey, you can get around the tax thing in the US! When I went to NYC last year, if you go to the customer service desk in Macys you can show them your passport and they will give you this red card that will give you 10% off your purchases! Defo worth looking in to 🙂 xxx

I also want to buy a Jo Malone fragrance this year – not too sure which one yet though.
Top of my wishlist is some Charlotte Tilbury make up. I want to get the Bar of Gold and either The Dolce Vita palette or The Golden Goddess palette.

I love Jo Malone, you should try pomegranate noir, is not for everybody either but I just love that one layered with vanilla anise. What are you layering yours with?

Jo Malone fragrances are lovely. At £39 for a 30ml it’s cheaper that a lot of other popular fragrances. Love the Kate Spade phone cover. On my wish list too xx
