#30in30 Clinique Chubby Stick Plumped Up Pink

This is my first Chubby Stick, can you believe it? I must have tried every budget version but I could never really pit them against the original.. until now. I actually received this in a recent beauty box so I still didn’t go out and buy it but I’m so happy with the colour, if I HAD chosen it it would have been something similar.. when does that EVER happen?

The texture was really nice, as expected and it did leave behind a slight stain but honestly? It’s no better than the Revlon. I wouldn’t rule out buying another one if the colour was unusual but I wouldn’t recommend you picking up a colour that you can get for cheaper from another brand. I could understand if the stain lasted longer or the texture was improved but there’s nothing about this that feels more expensive than my Kissable Balm Stains. I’ve only tried this one so it’s really just a first impression and if you think there’s a particular shade that would impress me let me know, I might try it but at £17.00 a pop I want to love it. I have a feeling the Intense version might be more worth the extra cash but I’d love to know what you think if you’ve tried them!

I’ve tried the same one as you and I really didn’t like it. I think the Revlon ones are better…and cheaper! The colour looks lovely on you though. 🙂

I have 8 of Clinique’s Chubby Sticks (2 of which are the Intense versions) and I Have all of Revlon’s, I prefer Clinique’s as they do a better job of conditioning my lips in the long run where as Revlon’s are a cute inexpensive product. For me Clinique’s chubby sticks will always be top of my list when purchasing something like that, they were one of the first to bring out the crayon style lip product and set the trend x

I love the original chubby sticks, they’re so easy to use and I think the shade selection is better than Revlon. I wouldn’t try the intense balms though, they’re still really balmy despite the good pigmentation so they slide around your lips loads, and the wear time is the same.

It looks great on you! My skin tone and hair color is quite equal to yours, maybe I should buy this one too! 🙂 I never tried one of these chubby sticks, just one from Revlon which is awesome! Greetings from Südtirol, Italy 🙂

I really like the colour of this, but it’s nice to know there’s cheaper alternatives out there! I always find chubby sticks a bit awkward to apply too! Great post though 🙂

In all honesty I tried the shade Voluptuous Violet and the colour payoff was absolutely rubbish, I needed like four layers and it stunk of playdoh as well :/ I much prefer the Revlon Colourburst Matte Balms!xx
