30 Lips in 30 Days in BACK! I tweeted last night to ask if you guys would be interested in a revival of the series I started last Summer and was met with a resounding YES so.. here goes! Just as last time I’m kicking off with my lip prep essentials – totally in love with all 3 of these and will repurchase as and when for sure. I don’t scrub my lips as often as I should so I’m still working on the Christmas ‘Santa’ scrub from LUSH – the rate I’m using it it’ll be out again in time for me to replace it. That being said it’s very effective and when I do use it I see a huge difference. It’s a sugar scrub so it’s not as harsh as some can be because it softens as you scrub and the sugar dissolves, it also smells (and tastes) yummy.
The balm choices here are the same.. yet different. They’re basically partners, one is the thicker, mask like balm I wear at night (in the pot) and the other is the one I top up with during the day and more recently have taken to wearing underneath lipstick. The stick version is actually really lovely, I wasn’t sure at first and suspected it might have been a gimmicky spin off to the cult favourite jar variety but it’s one of the best twist up lip balms I’ve ever used and it’s matte enough to stay put for longer than your average and wear under lipsticks without affecting application. The original NUXE Reve De Miel I’ve spoken about at length but there’s nothing like it for an intensive treat if your lips are sore/chapped and I use it every night to keep mine soft.
So they’re my must haves for prep.. tomorrow I’ll kick off with some colour. I have had a bit of a picture session to stock up on some this time (it was a bit stressful trying to get the pictures every day last time) but I still have plenty of slots to fill so if there are any particular brands/colour families you’d like to see let me know!
Last thing – under the Beauty heading at the top of the site you will find a 30 Lips in 30 Days tab.. you can keep up with this years series via that tab (or click this link) as well as catching up on last years – I will try not to repeat but I make no promises!
