#30in30 MAC Goddess Of The Sea

MAC Goddess Of The Sea Alluring Aquatics

I don’t think I blogged about them but I did manage to pick up 3 things from the recent Alluring Aquatics collection MAC launched. It was one of those collections I HAD to have for the packaging alone and I will cherish it long after the products have gone.. although the chance of my using up something in packaging like this is slim. I’m sure you will have seen it a dozen times before but the water droplet effect totally blows me away, they’re raised droplets.. insane! Anyway.. the lipstick, totally out of my comfort zone but I wanted one of the shades with a name relevant to the collections – yes that’s a good reason to buy a lipstick, don’t look at me like that! Goddess Of The Sea sounded perfect so I really didn’t care what the colour was – I’m a COLLECTOR!! Leave me alone – but as it turns out it’s actually quite nice. I thought it would be a much bolder purple but it’s really more a plum and definitely something I’ll get use out of in the colder months.

Its a creamsheen which is one of my favourite finishes my MAC.. I think Amplified pips it to the post but it’s up there. Very creamy and opaque, a joy to wear (is that over the top?) a joy to wear comfortable on the lips (better?) and while the weather is warmer I will likely wear it with smudged eyeliner for an edgier, vampy look. Not something I usually go for but I’m enjoying the change and whenever I change my hair I find my tastes in makeup change too.. a deeper lip is definitely something I’ll be experimenting with.

Sold out now I’m afraid but I’d recommend it if you ever see it repromoted!

The finish isn’t something I usually like wearing, but it’s definitely one I’d like to try from reading your post 🙂
