One of my newer MAC purchases and one that I’m not 100% sure about just yet. It was an impulse (online) purchase after a spot of makeup chatter with a fellow blogger who told me that if I loved Faux I’d love this. She said it was a cool nude.. I should have known better. As the name ‘honey’ suggests, it’s a warm almost peachy golden nude, I’d not sure it’s quite the right tone for me. A step away from this (on the warmth scale) would be Velvet Teddy (comparison swatches to come) which I DO like but I think this is a little too, dare I say basic? You know when a low cost brand launches a line of lipsticks with just one nude.. ths is the colour I think of.. is it just me?
Texture wise it’s not quite as nice as the other mattes I have from MAC either. Every so often I’ll find a ‘miss’ from the brand (Fashion Revival was the last one – bleeds like a b*tch) and I think this is one of them. Not necessarily the fault of the product itself, it’s a very popular one but for me it just isn’t QUITE right. That being said I will play around with it over different lip liners and might just find the optimum way t wear it.. watch this space!

This is one of my favourite nudes ever!

The colour reminds me a bit of Lime Crime Coquette. Also the texture in the picture there is similar. I think it does look nice on you though. But I can see what you mean when you mentioned the nude colour in a basic line.
Such a pretty shade! x

This colour is stunning I love it
I think this looks lovely on you – especially against your bright hair. That texture would gwt on my nerves though…
I think honeylove is such a lovely nude. I bought it once but returned it as sadly it didn’t suit me very well. I just looked very washed out. x
