#30in30 – MUA Lip Gloss Shade 3

This makeup look is actually one I filmed this morning for a ‘back to school’ look that will go up next week. I kept it minimal and this gloss seemed like the right choice. It’s my favourite nude/clear and it’s just a bonus that it only cost £1 because I would definitely pay more!

It was so difficult to get the camera to focus on gloss so the above photo is blurry, sorry, you do see some of the golden shimmer which gives it extra dimension though. In the tube it looks like a golden peach shade but I think the colour is made up more of glitter than actual pigment because you don’t get much colour once it’s applied. Formula wise it’s a regular sticky gloss, not recommended for hair down, windy days but it does a good job at keeping the product on the lips! That being said it doesn’t feel uncomfortable which is more important for me.

The packaging is basic but nobody is complaining for the price – the only issue is that the clamped tube design can split leading to leakages and product waste but I haven’t experience that with any glosses from MUA so I’m not too worried about it. All in all it’s a great budget lip gloss that performs well and smells amazing on top – I have a few from this line and would definitely recommend them if you just want a wash of shimmer/colour.
