#30in30 MUA Lip Switch Coral Pink

Okay I'm running a little behind on this challenge this time around so you might see a couple of double ups over the next few days to be sure I get in my 30! Why am I running so late? A series of unfortunate events from my SD card being smashed by a dancing toddler to my laptop refusing to connect to wifi *pulls hair out* but I'm keeping everything crossed that we're firing on all cylinders again now! Todays lip is one I had expected to be basic so didn't think I'd necessarily LOVE it (so I went in with pretty low expectations) but I REALLY didn't love it. It's dual ended (obviously) with a matte lipstick on one end and a lip gloss on the other. I initially thought it was a long wearing lacquer deal, a lipstick/top coat situation as this packaging style has been done to death in that format but this is a little different so you gotta give them that, I guess.

Now let's have a show of hands.. who thinks I prefered the lipstick end? I mean it's a MATTE lipstick.. you'd expect that, wouldn't you? I'm SO not a gloss girl.. BUT this lipstick was AWFUL! So streaky and uneven.. the gloss actually SAVED it! I say that but I wore this to work and by 10am I took a bathroom break and was horrified by the ugly lip line I was left with. UGH! I've mentioned previously that this series has taken its toll on my lip condition so I can't blame the product for gathering in the drier areas but the colour wasn't nearly as opaque as it could be.. I mean who ever heard of a sheer matte?? I'd love to hear from those of you who've tried these to see if it's just me. I'd expect the bolder colours to be better but still.. wouldn't recommend these, so much more choice for your money these days. Once upon a time we raved about MUA because 'well.. it's only a few pounds' etc but now they have some stiff competition and this just didn't bring it for me.
