#30in30 Primark Pink Fizz

I’m pretty sure I’ve bought this lipstick twice now but hey ho, it’s a nice colour and the first time there was no name so it’s tough to recall which you have/haven’t bought  in a sea of picked over lipsticks at Primark! Primark’s makeup range has been really hit and miss and even within the lipstick line it’s the same. One can be absolutely amazing, super opaque and very comfortable to wear and the next (this one) is sheer and waxy to the touch. I have a feeling that they are the new ‘e.l.f’ when it comes to consistency as the other that I have of the same name has a considerable better texture and smells fruity whereas this one smells like play-dough.. whats that all about?

I love the packaging on these PS Love lipsticks, super sleek and Max Factor-esque for several pounds less to buy (£1.50 a tube) and the color is epic, actually really similar to MAC Impassioned but alone this particular one was just not up to snuff. Over a lip liner it’s okay if you really wanted to make the colour work but there are similar colours at competitive prices from other high street brands so unless you already have it I think you’re money is better spent elsewhere. Bear in mind though, you may have it and love it, your version may be TOTALLY different but as with e.l.f I will never really feel I can recommend something unless I know the one you buy will be the same as the one I have and unfortunately I don’t think that’s the case with Primark’s beauty line!

Thanks for your advice and opinion. I’ve never brought any Primark lipsticks before but I’ve always been intrigued!

I think you make a good point about this line being hit and miss. I bought a nude after seeing it on you and loving it but for some reason my one had little flecks of glitter in it. I usually hate it when people say “you get what you pay for” because most of the time that’s not true but I think Primark is half assing it in the quality control department.

The colour really does suit you! The thing about these is that even if you try it and it doesn’t quite work for you, you only lose £1.50. But like you said there is no consistency with the products and you might just end up with the dud (just my luck).

I have been subscribing to you for about a year now and this shade is the best by far that you have worn. It makes your skin look very bright abd beautiful and your eyes look radiant! Beautiful Color.

Do you know what? At first sight I thought it was a Bourjois lipstick…
