Now tell me you look at the colour of this in the tube and then see it in ‘action’ and aren’t surprised. It’s a totally different colour! I thought I was buying a coral and it’s a pale pink at best.. more of a nude really.. madness! As it happens I do like it but their packaging leaves much to be desired! The colour is also super sheer so even the product itself is deceiving but as I say.. turned out out to be nice so no harm no foul and all that. The ‘Ultimate Suede’ tag led me to believe it would be somewhat matte.. also a total fail.. not remotely matte. The Colorstay range is generally aimed at colour STAYING put too.. sorry to say that on me it was just an average lipstick. I’m not sure where Revlon were going with this concept but it’s not what I expected at all. I have another deeper colour that I haven’t tried yet so watch this space to see whether this was a one off dud or the whole range is bizarre.
If the colour was more accurate and the name didn’t suggest a long wearing, matte formula I’d say this is actually really nice but I think you will likely buy something expecting one thing but get something TOTALLY different – anyone else felt this way about the Ultimate Suede line? Just me? Okay then!
