I’m looking at these pictures now having had 2 or 3 inches cut off my hair this afternoon and massively regretting the decision.. just as my hair was getting long. It did need doing because though it was growing it hadn’t been cut since my major short bob last July so it was a little tatty at the ends but still.. it’s tough. Hopefully it will grow back nicer than before now, I think I chopped about 4 months growth so fingers crossed by Christmas it will be this length but thick and healthy.
Anyway.. totally unrelated start to the post but you know the deal with lip butters by now, don’t you? Well you oughta cause I reckon there’ll be another coming up on Saturday. The Barbie themed hen party is almost upon us and I’m torn between Sorbet lip butter and MAC Viva Glam Nicki – the latter is a touch more Barbie but the shade of pink gives me the yellowest looking teeth you ever did see so y’know.. swings and roundabouts. What’s that? Oh you want to know about this lipstick.. fine. Berry Smoothie is actually one of the only non-super brights from the lip butter range that I really like, it’s not too streaky looking and a nice wearable berry shade for daytime. It’s still no contender for the likes of Raspberry Pie and Sorbet with regard to colour payoff but it’s lovely none the less and come Autumn I will be wearing this a lot. I feel like I say that more and more but it truly is my favourite season and I guess I’m looking forward to it.
So yeah.. you know I like these but you know Revlon have their hits and misses so as I’ve said before if you’re looking to try lip butters for the first time choose a bright.. the paler shades aren’t the best example of what they can do but those I’ve tried and liked are Pink Lemonade and Creme Brulee – this is a kind of in between for those who aren’t ready for the full POW lip commitment but don’t want some colour, a great happy medium!
