Ok.. so last week I informed you all (whether you liked it or not) I had decided to finally lose that last bit of baby weight and since then I’ve bombarded you with many posts on the subject. I’m getting so in to healthy cooking now and trying things I’d never have before.. I’m like a petulant child usually.. ”that looks yucky, I don’t like it!”. Like I said.. I want to kick start and lose the bulk but ultimately change my lifestyle and be healthier so I haven’t taken on anything too drastic. The exercise I’m doing is minimal but targeted to my problem area (my midsection) and I’m out walking with Milo a lot more again. Overall I’m feeling better and for the most part even though I’m really cutting back calories right now I’m not too hungry. I’ve not deprived myself of anything and you will see from my diary entries below Sunday is missing. This wasn’t an intentional gap I just got very very drunk on the Saturday night (my brothers 21st Birthday) and had the worst hangover I’ve had in years the following day. Side bar on that.. I decided to stick to Gin and Slimline tonic which you’ll also notice I didn’t enter in but in all honesty I didn’t keep up. The irony is Gin is the enemy for me.. of all the drinks in all the world it gets me drunkest and I suffer the most for it. So in trying to keep my calories down I ended up losing an entire day and eating *gasp* A McDonalds Breakfast!!

My calorie goal per day is 1200 but I try to keep it to 1000 where possible while I’m in my ‘kickstart’ phase. Yesterday was my best day yet. My dinner was literally a plate of vegetables.. my Mother would drop dead is she read this haha! I even poached a fish for the first time!! Admittedly come 8.00 I was peckish and succumbed to a few crackers and a chocolate biscuit but coming in at under 800 cals I am pretty pleased with myself. I don’t intent to do that for long, don’t worry! I’m a very hungry girl and I just couldn’t keep it up but when you see results it’s a great motivator. I stepped on the scales this morning and was more than happy!
I’m rounding up but I’ve lost around 4lbs in a week. From experience the first week is the big loser so I’m not holding out any hope for that kind of result in 7 days time but as this week progressed I replaced more carbs with healthy fruits and veggies and am trying to really balance my diet rather than eat the same old stuff, just less of it! Anywho.. that’s enough from me on that.. I’m off to the shops to replenish stocks – I seriously spent nearly £30 3 days ago and I’ve already run out of food.. this is so freakin expensive! I’d really like to try the TIU protein pancakes this week but we’ll see.. the ingredients aren’t super accessible.
