Accessorize – Infatuation

When I first popped the lid off on this bad boy I thought.. hmm.. that’s dark! I’m not big on dark reds/plums.. I don’t know why.. they just don’t seem to do anything for my complexion. So when I applied it I was expecting to hate it but it turns out that although the colour is deep it’s not to vampy at all. It explains a lot about my lipstick collection that I can’t judge a colour in the tube.. I never find quite what I’m looking for and this has taught me to swatch even the most off-putting shades ’cause you just never know! I love ‘Infatuation’, it’s the perfect evening red for me and it will get a lot of wear!

The formulation was unexpected too.. I was expecting a creamy texture when in fact it’s quite dry and I’d say almost matte. I like that as it’s likely to stick around a little longer and when we’re talking about bold shades you really don’t need them wearing off after the first mojito. As a result however it is quite drying so I’d suggest using a balm underneath and it’s not something you’ll want to be applying every day.. especially coming up to the Winter months. Regardless I will be looking a little closer at the Accessorize stand in future and this i s a surprising new favourite of mine and did I mention the packaging? So cute!

Available from Superdrug stores for £4.95

That looks stunning. What a lovely red tone it has & the packaging looks super cute. Ive not really tried any Matt lippies as my lips tend to be quite dry. But i may have to pick this up and see how i get on with it. It looks lovely on you

I love matte formula’s generally just because they last so much longer and tend not to bleed as much and this is a cross between a matte and satin finish I’d say x

I got lipstick today it seems bit more pinky/berry coloured than it looks in your pictures but I still love it 🙂 I picked up some accesseroize duo eyeshowdows which are really pretty and half price at superdrug at the moment 🙂

really? I think perhaps it’s just different on different skin tones as it’s really red on me.. will look out for the eyeshadows if they’re on offer too!
