Acrylic Makeup Storage From eBay (UK Sellers)

acrylic storage

Acrylic drawers with organiser – £14.99 (and free p+p) / Acrylic Nail Polish Rack – £15.99 / Lipstick organiser with extra storage – £10.99 / Jewellery drawers/makeup organiser – £7.49 (and free p+p) / Cotton wool dispenser – £6.49 (and free p+p) / Round lipstick/brush holder – £3.99

So we all know that our obsessions with acrylic makeup storage came from the Kardashians promotion of the astronomically priced Clear Cube but there ARE low cost alternatives for you to get that same sleek look at home. I bought my clear drawers from Muji but their stores are few and far between, the online stock is always low and if you can find what you want the postage is high.. so I scoured eBay’s UK listings (there’s LOADS more if you’re willing to buy from further afield but I know some prefer to know they will get it in good time so I limited myself for this post) to find what I consider to be the best offerings of the moment. If you have a regular collection rather than a Boots worth like me then the first set of drawers with the additional detachable storage looks perfect (beware, prices vary on this unit.. the one I’ve linked is the cheapest I saw) and sometimes I really wish my nail polishes would all fit in to a little unit like the one pictured.. life would be simpler I feel.. but as they don’t I need stackable storage like the chest on the right.. something that can be added to over time as a collection expands. There’s so much to choose from but like I say, if you have a moderate amount of makeup there’s no reason you can’t display it in beautiful clear containers such as the ones above on a budget.

How do you store your makeup? Those posts/videos are always my favourite, I love to know how other people organise things!

I have the Muji storage which I love but was on the lookout for some nail varnush storage so thank you! And now you’ve brought the cotton wool dispenser to my attention I also have to have that, it’s genius! Great post 🙂

I have a mix of acrylic lipstick and nail polish holders (2.99 from hongkong for a lipstick holder that holds 24?!), a cardboard organizer, a stationary organizer decorated by my super clever crafty mum, an ornate pen pot and then boxes too.

I umm and ahh over more acrylic stuff as I’m out of space for what I store out on top of my unit of drawers… too much makeup… ooh never mind 😀

I need to do an updated makeup storage post but this is my older one which shows some of my bargain storage and the one my mum decorated for me – http://petitmoibigworld.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/my-cosmetics-storage.html

I’ve never been a fan of acrylic storage just because I think it looks a bit cluttered. I use a little set of 3 drawers that I got from WHsmith, its supposed to be for stationary but the drawers are pink and the bit that holds them is covered in a really cute bird print.

I saw some of these in TK Maxx as well for cheap too.
I don’t know whether I want to buy into this trend, part of me wants my make-up on display, but part of me prefers thinking of cute little vintagey ways to store things!

Thanks so much for this! I want all but one of these. My make up collection is huge and in vast disarray. It’s got to the point where I use the same old crap every day because I can’t bear to root through everything. x x

I bought a cotton bud dispenser off ebay a couple hours ago! It was super cheap and I can’t wait for it to come… I’m so tempted by the cotton wool one and the lipstick holder here, they are lovely!

TK Maxx sometimes has some acrylic make-up storage! Like Muji online stock, it can be few and far between; but sometimes you’re able to go in and find loads! The cheapest I’ve found is similar to the cotton wool dispenser you’ve listed above, which was around £5! Maybe go have a look and you could be lucky and snap up a few bargains, and not have to pay any postage and packaging!

I wish I would’ve seen this post earlier as I just bought some MUJI drawers and I think I could’ve gotten more bang for my buck on Ebay! Anyway, I’m really happy with them. Thanks for sharing! xx
