When Alpro asked me if I’d like to join their #DeskFest challenge it seemed like a no brainer. For a while now I’ve suspected that I may be intolerant to dairy products and the chance to try some alternatives was definitely something I was interested in. Unfortunately I do not have a tremendous amount of time to ‘do’ breakfast before work (and I am not washing dishes at work) so it wasn’t until today that I got a proper chance to try them out and create my 3 breakfasts. These have actually ended up as late night snacks for Lee and I but that makes them no less viable as early morning meals.
Of the selection I was sent I prefer the vanilla pouring yoghurt and almond milk (I don’t love the milk on it’s own but in other things it’s not bad). The yoghurt is actually really nice and not too thick so if I was to choose something as a permanent substitute on my cereal it would be that, very tasty on it’s own too!
The three breakfasts I made were Strawberries and Vanilla Pouring Yoghurt, Granola and the same yoghurt and All Bran and Almond Milk.
Now I’ve tried them all I would be tempted to take a carton of the yoghurt to work and take in fruit or ceral in a tupperware with me each morning to enjoy a true desk fest. I would also look to replace regular milk with the almond in porridge and hot drinks as I always feel better for cutting out cows milk.. of only Alpro made cheese!!!
