I have been so late on this one, a blogging friend of mine told me probably more than a year ago that I absolutely had to buy this to compare but I’m hoping it’s a case of better late than never. I’ve never actually seen one in the flesh until this past weekend but when I did I had to get it.. they actually had copies of all three palettes and I thought I’d picked up the original but upon closer inspection it appears to be a duper for Naked 2. 1 and 2 and actually the only ones I have no, I let go of 3 because I just never wore it but this is probably the most versatile of the bunch. The dupe is from W7, a brand I used to hear a lot about but in recent years not so much, they just kind of fell of my radar. I raved about their single shadows, I seem to remember a burnt plum (or something like that) being absolutely amazing so I don’t know what delayed me picking this up but I’m glad I finally did cause it’s really quite good.
Colour wise nothing is quite right here if you’re looking for a perfect dupe.. there really aren’t any. It’s a selection of similar shades in the same order but otherwise it’s just a neutral eyeshadow palette, there are better ‘dupes’ BUT the quality wins out here. It’s hit and miss, some don’t really hit the mark, some are just as good but then there’s the odd matte shade that actually swatched BETTER than it’s more expensive counter part. They don’t blend quite as nicely in action on the eye but the black alone is excellent for any money. There’s nothing majorly glittery here so fall out isn’t an issue from what I’ve experienced so far and wear time is pretty comparable to the UD shadows.
From what I can see there are 4 in the collection, a dupe for the Naked set and an extra with some colour options. In The Buff seems to be the most expensive one to buy but I’ve found an Amazon seller doing all three neutrals for less than £20. Not bad when the RRP is £9.99 each although I’m sure I got this for less in the cheap makeup shop I found it! Either way a huge discount for a very similar product!
