Balmi!

Balmi

Well wouldn’t you just know it.. another lip balm – they’re my weakness because I actually NEED them and when I don’t have one with me I can absolutely justify buying a new one. Luckily this was nothing to justify at all as it came in my Boots Advent Calender last Christmas and it was one of my more exciting doors. I was already fan of the EOS balms having picked up the delicious Sweet Mint while I was in the US so I was interested to try these similar looking things that hit our shores last year and this coconut flavour did not disappoint. I’ve seen rounded versions of these recently and to be honest I don’t know why they didn’t just launch with those because the conical balm in this square packaging is a little tricky to work with.. I kind of assumed EOS had some kind of patent on the sphere but they must not have. Another niggle is that given the wide surface you’re always going to be left with a lot of balm you can’t easily apply once the surface has worn away, you could scoop it out I suppose but chances are it will be wasted – this is the same with the EOS though, thought I’d mention.

Overall they’re a nice lip balm, come in a good variety of ‘flavours’ and the packaging is cute albeit a little gimmicky and wastful.

Available online here for £4.99

This originally came out in sphere form and then they changed it to the conical shape you have here which I always thought was because of it being too similar to EOS x

The spherical ones you’ve seen might be the older design, they did look very similar to EOS lip balms but I think they were made to change (and the amount of product went down too!)

I have the Rasberry version and I find it really good at moisturising my lips! Once the surface has been worn away you can take the circle disc off the bottom and push it up further, if you didn’t already know 🙂

The raspberry version other’s have mentioned sounds lovely. I’m intrigued by the shape as well – I’ve not seen anything like this before!

The spheres where the original types of these! They are handy little things! I think I may get one of these as lost my other one! The sphere ones come on a little key chain too lol xx

I loved the smell and feel of this lipbalm but it did not survive being in my handbag. It kept opening and got everywhere. Such a shame for an expensive product.
