Baked Blushes, my new makeup obsession. I already had some and had dabbled with favourites over the years (New York from Fashionista comes to mind) but it was MAC Stereo Rose that made a believer out of me.. absolutely the most beautiful finish EVER. I revisited my collection and found a few I also very much enjoyed for a fraction of the cost, this is one of the more recent additions.
I forget whether I’ve shared my other favourite from Makeup Revolution, Love Me The Best, if I haven’t that’s a major faux pas and I will remedy ASAP because it’s really quite something but this is one I’d been putting off wearing and when I finally did.. I had to post about it. It’s not a colour I would usually choose.. a very barbie, blue toned pink.. not super flattering and it made me nervous.. with good reason. If you overdo it with this on anything less than a porcelain complexion I think you could come off looking a bit mad but used sparingly it give a beautiful lit up glow. It’s reqlly quite pigmented so although it’s pale on colour it doesn’t just disappear.. if you applied heavily it would look that colour on your cheeks.. not what I was looking for. I used my beloved Blush brush from Real Techniques and took the tiniest amount and buffed it in to the apples and up my cheek bones for a diffused pink glow.
As I said I’ve tried another from the range but after this I definitely need to try more. If you have any recommendations of other brands who do a great baked blush (don’t worry Vivo is already on my list) please leave them below.. I will be compiling all of my favourites in a monster post very soon. This kind of sheeny product is the perfect thing to create that winter glow we all seem to miss once the weather turns without looking unseasonably bronze. – available online here for £2.50 each
