Barry M – Greenberry

A couple of weeks ago I posted about what I believed to be the most amazing fluro aqua nail polish EVER – China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle. I lost count of the number of you who contacted me after that telling me how close this Barry M was and boy were you right. I have misplaced the China Glaze (sob) so can’t do a full on dupe but you’d best believe that as soon as it resurfaces I will follow up because I think this is pretty darn close. It has that lit from within look that gives the illusion you’ve used a white base to brighten the shade when in fact it’s just an amazing colour in one bottle.

I love the Gelly formula for it’s application but I have to wear a topcoat to prevent chipping so the glossy finish is kind of lost on me but if you do well without the top coat then this really is a one stop shop. My only negative when comparing this with the China Glaze is drying time, that is almost satin and very thin so I need 3 coats but they dry super fast. This is thick and gloopy so 2 coats max but much longer to set.. swings and roundabouts plus I buy my CG from Nail Polish Direct where the price is so low there’s not much in it with regard to value. They’re both nice I guess it comes down to which you can more easily get your hands on and what finish you prefer as to which I’d recommend.

Available online here for £3.99

PS. It’s MAY.. can you even believe it? It’ll be Christmas before we know it 😉

This is such a gorgeous shade!
But I normally hate Barry M nail varnish, they take so long to dry 🙁

Barry M nail polish is simply THE BEST! The staying power always amazes me. I’ve beenwearing their pale blue Gelly one for the past 4 days and still no chips!

I prefer the China Glaze formula. Barry m are brutal for needing 3 coats on my short nails 🙁 Plus the thickness makes them prone to chipping.

If drying time is a problem you should try a nail drying spray. I use one that I get from pound shops and cheap chemists. It comes in a pink can and its basically just alcohol in a can but it does the job.

Love the colour! Dupes are fantastic (especially when you’ve lost one!)

Lovely colour. It reminds me of sea glass on the beach.
