Barry M – Ruby Glitter

This has absolutely nothing to do with the newly remade Wizard Of Oz but the name is so appropriate, don’t you agree?

Despite what it looks like in the bottle the ‘carrier’ polish is a muddy, transparent colour – you will never get the bottle effect without a base. I chose Barry M’s Red Black as I thought it was the closest match, along with the large chunky ruby glitter there are also flecks of black so although I initially thought that was the obvious choice I realised it would hide some dimension.. I also realised I don’t own a black.. how is that possible? As with all glitter polish it’s a bitch to remove but then we know that when we apply it, don’t we? They’re just too darn appealing and this will definitely get some wear but I will have to try it over some brighter colours because this deep wine doesn’t exactly scream Summer.

I have this polish, it looks really good over a light greyish base I have from top shop. I think I might have to get the red colour your wearing though! Looks lovely! X

I really like this, I have been loving Barry M polishes at the moment, especially the Gelly Hi Shine ones x

Have you tried using PVA glue as a base? It makes glitter polish removal so easy 🙂
