Beauty UK Baked Blush (It’s Really A Highlight)

This is almost impossible to get on camera, I love it, it’s the best highlight I’ve ever used (so far of course) and in the mirror it’s amazing but it just will not translate on film so you will have to take my word for it. Although it’s dubbed as a blush the colour is barely there, it’s a pink, almost champagne (pink champage?) sheen that looks just beautiful but applied to the apples of my cheeks it just exhaggerates my pores and does nothing for me at all. This is the kind of product I can imagine someone trying and they relegating to their makeup drawer never to be used again because it doesn’t really do what it says it does but it’s so much better than that.. you have to open your mind! Makeup is a totally fluid concept, just because it says eyeshadow doesn’t mean it can’t be blush and vice versa, it’s such a creative thing that you can’t pen something in to do just one job, it might do much better as something else.

It’s not glittery at all, it’s a very fine sheen of shimmer which is just perfect to highlight cheekbones, brow bone, etc.. until I picked up NARS Albatross recently I’d used nothing but this for months so I highly recommend you go and check these out. There are some bolder colours in the range which would lend themselves more to blush but the fact this is called Halo kind of suggests to me that Beauty UK knew it wasn’t one of them.

It reminds me of some of the baked bronzer/highlighter’s that Vivo cosmetics and Fashionista have! I used them as a highlighter on top of my cheek bones, not dark enough for bronzer 😀
