We took these pictures on my birthday back in February but I never got around to posting them! I was in a bit of an 'outfit' phase at the time so there are a few throwbacks dotted around on my hard drive I may still share. I also wanted to mention a gift I collected on this particular day as pre-purchase I was nervous about wear and having used it almost daily for the last couple of months I can give my first impression/review.
I have wanted something in the Louis Vuitton Azur print for the longest time. I initially wanted my Neverful (first designer purchase) in this summer print but decided it wasn't very practical for the English weather.. but it haunted me and eventually I decided something smaller may be the way to go. The Emilie Wallet (which I believe was £305 in February) is one of the cheaper wallet options from LV, very compact, light and unlined making it more flexible than their original, sturdy designs. That being said it has plenty of card slots, a zip compartment for change and is large enough to fit two passports in the middle compartment without distorting that shape at all.. the wallet itself I would definitely recommend. The Azur print however wears QUICKLY. The cream piping around the edge showed dirt/discoloration within a month and the pale pink (Rose Ballerine) leather button was also noticably dirty. I picked up some alcohol free 'water wipes' which seem to do the trick in keeping it clean without stripping any of the coating from the canvas exterior but I don't like to be too precious about my things and this print is definitely something that needs more care than the darker options. There is still one bag (the Favourite) I think would work for me in Azur but anything large or any heavy-use items I think I'd have to go for the Ebene.
