Last month we did a bit of a northern weekend for Ella’s birthday visiting both Blackpool & Liverpool and spending a day in each. I vlogged a little which you can watch here but I took LOTS of pictures which I planned to post when we got back but never got around to it.. so this is my photo diary. Blackpool was very cold and windy and after a little trouble getting there we didn’t have as long to walk around as we’d planned. We visited the tower, saw the circus and sat in on some dancing at the ballroom (love that) but we only saw a little of the lights before we had to head back. Liverpool was actually really cool and we are planning on going back without the kids soon.. I especially enjoyed the impromptu visit to the Cheshire Oaks outlet on the way home – they have a Mulberry and I was VERY good.. didn’t even buy a purse and they were SO much cheaper than RRP.. much restraint needed. I’m trying to save my splurging money for our US trip which we actually haven’t booked yet and I’m getting a little nervous that we wont get the flights we want but we’re holding out for the best deal. Speaking of NYC given how long it took me to edit and upload these pictures I’m thinking I will need DAYS to sort the photos when we get home from New York.. may have to take my laptop after all, much more manageable if done in bite size daily chunks I think.

Glad you liked my hometown Liverpool. I love living here, and there’s is some amazing sights. I actually live in a high rise 5 minutes from the city centre and the views I have are second to none. May I suggest on your next visit to go and see the anglican cathedral, it’s beautiful 🙂 xx

When I went to the Liverpool Tate with my parents, my Dad accidentally sat down on a piece of art, thinking it was part of the structure of the room rather than one of the exhibits! How embarrassing.

I love love love Cheshire Oaks. I went there earlier this year and came away with many bags of shopping! You did very well to control yourself!

I LOVE cheshire Oaks-I live in Liverpool so it’s under an hour’s drive away. I have to stop myself going too often though or I would be broke lol. Looks like you had a great time, glad you enjoyed my home town 🙂 xx
