Boots Haul

As some of you know there was a Boots Summer Points Event today. It’s actually still on online, the minimum spend is £50 whereas in store it was £30 but I guess if you can’t get to a participating outlet it’s better than nothing. Anyways.. I was umming and ahhing as to whether I would go as it’s a bit of a trek out on a weeknight for a hermit like myself, I even considered the online offer myslef (lazy much?) but then I saw the small print. 750 for EVERY £30 spent in one single transaction in store… so I could spend £50 online and get 750 pts OR I could spend £60 in STORE and get 1500 pts!!! Are you with me so far? I know I can ramble. With this new added incentive I HAD to get myself down there.  As every bargain hunter knows you should plan ahead to get the best deal so I rocked up, calculated shopping list in hand ready to earn £15 for shopping.. best way to earn money ever, right? Unfortunately some items on my list were unavailable and rather than buy random replacements for the sake of it I downsized and stuck to the original £30 deal… You didn’t need to know all that but it’s my blog and sometimes my stream of consciousness gets the better of my legitimate writing skill.

Moving on.. I ended up spending £32.81 and best of all.. that included Milo’s baby milk! Since he turned 6months his milk is no longer Boots points exempt…SCORE! Everything I bought was necessary, I was pretty restrained and bought stuff that needed replacing rather than extra junk (like normal) so although it’s always money I probably shouldn’t be spending I feel pretty good about my haul. My Peaches & Clean cleanser was an absolute ESSENTIAL, since I ran out my skin has broken out big time and it’s been out of stock for weeks so I feel much better with it in my possession. The mascara has been on my list since I first saw it in stores but I was waiting for my holy grail Volume Million Lashes to run out to purchase which it just about has. Lastly I needed a back up powder since my current 17 pressed powder just hit pan so I intended to repurchase that same one but the new ‘Miracle Matte’ version caught my eye and I thought I’d give it a go. The bonus item in my shopping cart was the L’Oreal Glam Shine Miss Candy lip gloss. I don’t generally buy l’oreal lip products as I find them expensive and not awesome but it was half price with the mascara purchase so I thought I’d pick it up to review.

I’ve photographed everything new to review already so you can expect my first impressions very soon. Sorry for the blah post but it’s been a LONG day, I will film a haul including other bits and pieces I’ve bought this month tomorrow so you can look out for that on my YouTube channel (subscribe if you haven’t already)
