Bourjois Cream Shadow

IMG_4019I have never been a huge cream shadow fan but Maybelline won me over with their Colour Tattoos so I’ve been open to trying more but very few have impressed me. Most give a nice enough colour but crease horribly but as soon as I swatched this I knew it was a winner. The texture is drier than your average but the sparkle throughout means what could have been a flat colour is multidimensional. There is a slight creasing issue with said sparkle but nothing terrible when blended out.. it’s only when worn heavily it becomes a problem.

IMG_4023One thing I really love about these shadows (and I have more to show you soon I just want to give them all a good test run first as one product cannot speak for an entire line) is that those with glitter give you all the sparkle you’d want with NONE of the irritating fall out of traditional powder shadows. I tend to avoid glitter like the plague having seen too many people with shimmery under eyes on nights out but if you’re looking for a less messy alternative you might like these forย  that reason.. as well as the many others. The packaging is sleek, plastic but robust and you can see the colours on the underside of each which is ideal when scrambling through scattered shadows.

Overall super impressed and I will be adding to my modest collection.. very easy to use and a great selection of colours. You can find the core collection online here but this new shade ,Marron Givre doesn’t seem to be available yet.

I’m not a fan of the cream eyeshadow, even the Colour Tattoo’s couldn’t convince me but I threw this very shade from Bourjois into my make up bad at the beginning of the week and am really enjoying it.

I tend to use a primer with the bourjois ones as they do crease on me, the pale pink/champagne one is one of my go-to shades for any time of the year

The new shade looks lovely, though

I haven’t seen these before so I am definitely going to have a look at them next time I am in Boots. I always have a creasing problem with eyeshadows so have to wear primer, but these sound great as long as you go for a thin layer :).

You should try the maxfactor cream shadows. They have some shades that are hideous but they have a pretty bronze and a nice shade called “copper” which is actually more like a taupe.
