I posted recently about my current favourite mascara, Seventeen Doll’d Up. I would still absolutely recommend that but today I’m talking about a new lash booster that’s overtaken it in my affections of late. In actual fact the two together work an absolute charm but we’ll talk more about that in a second. – 1 second (pun intended)
As I’ve said many times before I have little to nothing in the lash department, most mascaras do pretty much the same thing (nothing) for me but there are a handful I really like and they all share one property.. a rubber brush. Now most of the ones I like are lengthening, because I don’t have much of anything I’d rather stretch them out and get as long lashes as possible than them look short and fat so I don’t tend to reach for anything super volumising but this is a bit different. It definitely gives thicker lashes but the rubber bristles also separate them and although they do stick together a little they don’t clump. Alone I’ve been using this mascara and loving it BUT for that added length and separation the Doll’d Up applied as a second coat (and kind of acting as a lash comb) while the first coat of this is still wet is the PERFECT mascara combination. I’m not about to use 2 mascaras every day.. I have enough on trying to get my gel liner straight.. I’ve often totally run out of time by the time I get to lashes but on those days when I want a little extra oomph the pairing gives me that. If you have both I’d recommend you try it and if you have neither.. oh you’re putting me on the spot here.. they do different things but if you like more impact this is the way to go.. for more ‘daytime lashes’ the Doll’d up is still lovely but a little less KAPOW.. y’know?
