I always loved the idea of Thanksgiving. Obviously it’s not a holiday we observe in the UK but the general message is one I think we could all adopt at this time of year! There are so many things I’m thankful for, I have my family, my health, a roof over my head and food to eat in a world where there a lot of people left wanting. On a very basic human level I want for nothing and consider myself very lucky but I’m more superficial than that so the deep and meaningful stops there. I’m very thankful to have found the blogging community and those of you who read and watch my stuff. It’s a lucrative hobby for me now but even when it wasn’t I was so appreciative of everyone that took the time to look at something I put out there and not to sound like a broken record (as this is a stock blogger line) but without them (and you) I wouldn’t be writing this now. Last week I hit quite a landmark on my YouTube channel and I thought I’d share the video I uploaded to ‘celebrate’. It shows how nothing has changed and yet everything has in the 2 and a half years I’ve been doing this. The biggest difference however is my blog, I put so much more into it these days and really enjoy it more than my videos because it feels like more of an achievement and it does take up considerably more time than filming and editing, especially right now when I have so much to tell you about there are multiple posts per day.. I think that will drop down in the new year. But I digress.. There are a lot of bloggers out there now and I am still a relatively small fish in a big pond but I’m so grateful to be where I am where other people have given up.. perhaps that’s the secret? Don’t give up if it means something to you, beauty and hair and all things frivolous may seem completely meaningless but you have to be passionate about something or life would be terribly dull and I would much rather blog about lipstick than economics regardless of what that says about me.
