Love From LUSH

LUSH VALENTINES

You may have caught my YouTube haul last week but for those who didn’t I thought I’d share some snaps of the seasonal goodies I picked up earlier this month. I’m never THAT into LUSH until the holiday collections and this year I think I prefer the Valentines stuff to the Christmas selection. Everything smells sweet, looks cute but ISN’T COVERED IN GLITTER! The one thing that has had a glitter overload is my beloved Rose Jam Bubbleroon.. what’s that all about??

LUSH VALENTINES

I obviously had to pick up a couple of the emoji bubble bars (Lovestruck) and the Unicorn Horn for the kids – both are huge LUSH addicts but I tend to choose bubble bars because you get a few uses from them – but there were a few bath bombs that caught my eye this time around. French Kiss smells amazing, rosemary and lavender in a pretty purple and white swirl, quite possibly my favourite of the bunch and one I really hope they consider making permanent.  Rose Bombshell created the brightest pink bath I’ve ever had and rose petals emerged from the centre.. I have a feeling I have tried this before, the scent is really familiar but perhaps it looked different? Lover Lamp I’m saving for Valentines Day itself because I’ve seen pictures and it seems too cute not to. We have zero plans for Tuesday night (I think we will celebrate later in the week) so my festive treat will be a bathtub filled with little hearts..

LUSH VALENTINESThe last thing I picked up was ‘Two Hearts Beating As One’ but I used it before I had chance to take pictures.. it’s two solid heart shaped bath oils that slot together, I love oils and given that aside from the big show I don’t often feel like a bath bomb really does much for my skin or my mood I tend to reach for the products that give me tangible benefits. My favourite bath bomb has to be butterball for that reason, it does smell delicious – I love me some shea butter – but I can feel a little residue on my skin when I get out of the tub and it makes me feel a little less like a saddo in her 30s wasting money on colourful baths..

Have you succumbed to any of the V-Day specials?

The Gadget Your Selfies Have Been Waiting For

SELFIE RING LIGHTMy secret santa knocked it out of the park last Christmas with this little gadget. Something I would never have sought out but which has been lots of fun between me and my friends as well as genuinely useful for on the go insta-shots. I’ve seen those fancy light up cases but was never interested enough to want to spend any real money on one or add a permenantly bulky case to my phone so this little guy is PERFECT! I’m not a major selfie taker (I think I overdosed at some point taking lipstick swatch photos for my blog) but it makes group selfies a) more fun and b) far more flattering for everyone involved PLUS it’s AWESOME for additional lighting for vlogs and pictures when flipped the other way around. It’s a cheap and cheerful piece of kit that can be kept in your bag, passed around and clipped on to any model of phone and whether you’re into selfies or not I think you’ll get a kick out of it!

There are tons online but this looks pretty similar to mine and it’s UNDER A FIVER!

The Never Launching Liners

FREEDOM MAKEUP REVOLUTION LIP LINER

I have had  these liners for MONTHS, waiting for them to appear online to post about them but.. they haven’t. I decided to write up my review ahead of time so you can jump on them when they do eventually launch. Five shades in black pencils you sharpen rather than twist. They aren’t what I’d describe as creamy, much drier than some I’ve sampled but if you’re looking for a base for a liquid lip, these are a great option! The pencil itself has a satin coating that reminds me a little of NARS packaging and is quite satisfying to the touch (weird?) and I am a big fan of the plastic colour indicators on the ends.

FREEDOM MAKEUP REVOLUTION LIP LINERFREEDOM MAKEUP REVOLUTION LIP LINERThe formula is a little inconsistent, the red is much creamier than the rest and the deep purple may be the driest but I’ve been able to work with them all without issue. They aren’t going to be a hit for those of you who look for a more hydrating, comfortable lip colour but if you (like me) are into long wearing, classic matte I think you will enjoy these. I have a selection of brow and eye definers (also worth a look) that I would imagine will launch alongside these. Aside from the physical products I have minimal info right now but I’ll update this post as and when I know more. My educated guess would be that these will retail for £2-3 each and at that price point I would highly recommend you give them a go!

Freedom is available from TAM Beauty online and in Superdrug stores
