Chillin’ With My Snow-mies

IMG_4202Say what you will about China Glaze (although I’m not sure what you would say to the negative) but they have the BEST names, especially at Christmas! This is not something I’d normally have picked up because I knew from experience that the ‘snow’ wouldn’t evenly coat the nails but the name just grabbed me and I had to have it. It’s not the wprst chunky top coat I’ve used as I didn’t find that I had to apply a huge thick layer to get this effect but I didn’t apply it in smooth strokes either. If you did that you’d end up with a little on one and a lot on another which is fine but I wanted a more consistent effect so I blobbed on (no better word, sorry) a drop and edged the ‘snow’ around until I have a relatively even covering on each nail. I haven’t applied a top coat to what you see here but I did then go on to seal it all with my Seche Vite which got rid of the not so smooth texture so although it’s not as quick and easy as a fine glitter top coat it’s definitely not as difficult as some. There are enough suspended flakes to get a great result and if you’re in to this kind of thing I’d highly recommend it!
