This is a definite case of ‘blogger made me do it’ but better still.. Laura (buynowbloglater) only had to say she WANTED this and I needed it. I believe she was reviewing the new Models Own polishes for tans and mentioned the elusive ‘Flip Flop Fantasy’ from China Glaze and how one day she would find it in stock blah blah. I immediately took to my number one nail polish resource – link – found it to be out of stock (as predicted) but signed up for a stock notification. Two weeks later it was mine. I love a good shopping story, don’t you? Funny thing is that when I notified Laura of the new stock my tweet inspired not one but 2 (that I know of) others to pick it up too.. the power of blogging in the world of buying is immense. That desperate ‘must have’ feeling generated by the idea you wont be able to get your hands on something because it’s not available or heaven forbid.. LIMITED EDITION makes you buy things you would never normally have bought. As luck would have it this is actually a great colour but you know what I mean.. shopping panic usually doesn’t lead to anywhere but regret.
As with the other neons I own from China Glaze (I picked up some more along with this one so there will be more uber brights coming your way soon) this has that lit from within, white base coat look to it. It dries quickly but needs a good topcoat not only for chip resistancy but for shine as the finish alone is satin at best. I don’t find them to be the world best formula but China Glaze make some absolutely amazing colours and this is definitely one of them.
