China Glaze – Pure Joy

If you watched my Christmas Presents Haul you will know that one item I received this year was a set of mini’s from China Glaze from my friend Laura. Initially I saw the glitter and thought ‘wow, i can’t wait to wear those!’ but as I was applying this I quickly realised my error. There are two polishes in the set which are made up almost entirely of glitter, the base is clear and so there are no clean lines and everything looks a bit messy when you’re done. I f I was to wear this again I would definitely put on an opaque base and use the glitter as a topcoat as opposed to building it up. The longevity was good, as I find with most glitter formula’s, it was really just my lack of experience in this ever so glitzy arena that let it down. I applied it’s more colourful counterpart, Glitter All The Way for NYE but I wore it over the top of another (NOTD post to come) which turned out much nicer and was far easier to remove that layers and layers of sand paper-like glitter.

Prior to this I’d only ever tried one China Glaze polish, ‘For Audrey’, but I am definitely on the look out for more and these mini bottles aren’t so dinky and fit perfectly on my rack (so important) so if you know of a certain ‘must have’ collection coming up, let me know!

I got this set just before Christmas and Pure Joy was my favourite. I love it on top of Essie Head Mistress 🙂 It was the perfect Christmas combination… and a bugger to get off! xo

Take a look at an ebay seller called beautyzone2007 – they do all the brand new OPI and China Glaze collections for really reasonable prices. You are best to buy 4 or 5 polishes at once and use the combined shipping. For 4 new OPIs at Christmas it cost me just over £20 – bargain! Check out the China Glaze holographic collection they are bringing out. They look incredible! Xx
