For those of you whom Christmas cannot possibly start until December.. I’m here to tell you it already did, you’d better catch up! Today I have a cooking video to share which is basically a festive twist on a cookie recipe I’ve been using for years. I’m reusing a post from my old cooking blog (which was short lived.. I’m not really a cook) below to explain how I first made these as it just shows how easy they are, the pictures are all from my first attempt too however I will take you through the step by step in the video if you’re interested in WATCHING them being made.
I have never been any good at cookies. I can turn my hand to a wide variety of baked goods but cookies.. not one of them. I’ve always loved the idea of discovering the ultimate “millies cookies” type recipe that actually works and let me tell you… this does! It’s easy peasy to make, no rolling and cutting just delicious soft cookies that you will wow your friends and family.
Split the dough in to walnut sized balls and place on a baking tray. Remember to leave space for the cookies to spread. Bake for around 8 minutes at 180C for the ultimate American cookie experience. They should be soft and chewy on the inside and golden and crisp around the edges. Beautiful!
And now to inject a little Christmas in to your cookies..
