Color WOW

I’m currently trialling some very exciting new products from Color WOW and I thought I’d share them with you. The brand was created by the co founder of the John Frieda company so you’re already interested, right? Well just wait, it’s formulated to address problems to specific to frizzy and blonde hair.. that’s me on both counts! The idea is that by using these products you hair colour can WOW 365 days a year and gimmick or not they hooked my in there.

The colour security shampoo and conditioner were nice but didn’t feel like anything special in my hair, whether they are keeping my highlights look fresher for longer I don’t know but I’ll keep using them in the hope that they are. The Brass Banned (clever, huh?) correct and perfect mousse was something I wasn’t sure I’d use.. I like the idea that it’s violet toned to minimise brass but I never used mousse that often.. however since I’ve had it I’ve made the effort to use it every time I blow dry may hair and I’ve seen a difference in the staying power of my style without the feeling of any product in my hair at all.. so if you’re scared of the icky sticky texture as I was this was a very pleasant surprise. Lastly the Root Cover Up for blonde hair.. this is so exciting it might deserve its own post but it’s basically an eyeshadow for your roots

Don’t you just hate looking at your scalp.. yeugh.. anyway I packed it on here because I wasn’t sure how well it would show up in camera but as you can see the golden powder has done a darn good job of disguising my roots on the left.. it looks a bit odd in this picture but it’s an extreme close up, it actually looks very natural from a regular angle but obviously I would use less day to day. If you’re a bottle blonde this is definitely something that could save your hair between colouring and perhaps even put off doing your roots for a little while longer than usual. A great little compact to keep  in your bag that’s for sure!

Overall Color WOW is an exciting new brand that I’m very excited to see more from, online here

I’ve never seen anything like the Root Cover Up before. Does it stay on throughout the day?
