Come Here To Me..

I swear all of my TV references are so outdated nobody EVER gets them but hopefully this ones a classic. I’ve been dreaming about a new sofa for months.. the one I have is uber comfy and it has one oversized corner (my corner) that fits me and my laptop nicely however it’a an awkward shape in an awkward space and I’ve longed for a regular, straight couch to replace it with. I thought I’d show you the ones I’m currently lusting after. I have my heart set on a fabric sofa but my husband is dead set on leather (more child friendly) – the difference in price is massive and my argument is that we can afford replace a fabric sofa more often than a leather one and that’s more condusive to my desire for change than a leather one that will last a lifetime.

sofa shopping

Cynthia 3 Seater – Very / Harley – Next / Walton – Next / Mayfair (chair) – Next / Velvet Chesterfield – Tesco / Small Lorenzo – Tesco

He loves the look of Chesterfield styles and I have seen some insane velvet ones I love that I think I can almost talk him around to but they might not fit in with the rest of my decor. I really like the more modern grey one and some of the classic shapes too but there’s no real stand outs so.. which do you prefer?

Leather also is FREEZING when you first sit on them, and when you get hot, you stick to them! They are so noisy, creaking away at the slightest movement. Not nice!

Agree with Hayleigh 100% – leather looks chic but it’s not comfortable! With fabric you can have both. The classic styles in your selection are standing out to me for some reason, although it really depends how it fits in with the rest of your d├ęcor. Love a bit of vicarious shopping! x

Great choices! Velvet is so lush, but it attracts pet hair and lint like crazy. It can also be a little warm in the summer months. I really like the Harley from Next – clean lines and the grey is a great modern neutral that you can change up with throw pillows in any colour and pattern. Very similar to this one I’ve had my eye on for awhile from IKEA
Can’t wait to see which one you choose!

I can’t recommend next enough! We have the next Burleigh in camilo silver velvet and it’s just beautiful. Everyone comments on how amazing it looks and all our friends have declared it the comfiest sofa ever.
However if you have the budget, worth looking into Knoll Int where they have some stunning pieces. Fabric wise I can highly recommend the Kvadrat Harald 2 range of velvets which are fabulous!
I love my job as an interior designer but i do have serious furniture envy a lot lol!

Although I LOVE that Very sofa (in grey though), the one thing that would bother me about it is the size of the back. Normally I want to really sink into a seat and not worry about having nothing to support my entire back / neck. If that’s something that would bother you too then definitely go for a higher backed one. The Next one is gorgeous!
