Confetti Nails

L’Oreal’s Confetti top coat has been instagrammed to death, I’m sure you’ll agree but it’s one of a huge list of new Spring launches I couldn’t wait to get my hands (or nails) on. Every Boots I went it had no stock so imagine my excitement when I found one nestled between some random bath and body products.. yay! I couldn’t be happier with my purchase! A couple of questions that I had prior to owning it were ‘is it as difficult to remove as glitter’ – answer – not quite. It’s stubborn but it’s nowhere near as difficult as my regular glitter top coats, not sure if that’s just my experience as I’ve not seen anyone else address the subject yet but I found removal to be easier.. though still harder than a regular opaque polish, obviously. Secondly, how easy is it to get a good smattering of speckle on each nail? The carrier clear coat is actually not too gloopy so you can maneuver the confetti around and mask any swirliness with your regular top coat easily. That being said it’s does distribute fairly evenly on its own.

On to my base polish, You’re Such A Budapest by OPI. I love this colour, it’s just warm enough not to give me the ‘dead hands’ that blue toned polishes often can and it has a subtle glitter to it which adds some dimension while keeping it true to it’s ice cream, pastel roots. It’s a great Spring/Summer shade that I’ll be getting a lot from. I get a lot of questions about where you can purchase OPI, Look Fantastic  do the entire range as well as Limited Edition collections online here.

Have you tried the Speckled Nail trend yet?

to be frank that is a terrible colour combo for a nail without a glitter shine.

You don’t have to be Frank, you can be whoever you like and still have that opinion 🙂
