Create Your Own Beauty Gift

China Glaze Happy Holiglaze Be Merry Gift Set – £9.90 / LUSH Santa’s Lip Scrub – £5.50 / Revlon Matte Lipstick In Really Red – £7.49 / LUSH Snowman Bath Bomb – £2.50 = £25.39

I know I’ve already done the ‘fill your own stocking’ thing to death this year but I wanted to show you some physical products I had put together so you could visualise them as a gift. If you go out looking for a present with a budget of around £25 there’s plenty on offer but I think you can get so much more bang for your buck if you put items together yourself. I love these China Glaze mini’s and they’ve reduced the price so you can now pick up the set of 4 for under £10, Revlon’s Really Red is one of my favourite Christmas colours.. I have a 12 days of lipstick series coming (can you guess when?) and it will definitely feature. LUSH does Christmas so well but I think their ready made gifts are so impersonal and overpriced, I don’t know anyone that wouldn’t appreciate this festive lip scrub and the snowman is one of the cheapest bath bombs but one of the most effective in my experience.

I for one would love to receive this bundle.. if you’re doing something similar I’d love to know what you’ve put together!

Hi, I’m on a tight budget this year so have done this. Each gift bag contains: nail polish, small candle in it’s own tin, travel bubble bath, lip balm and a small bag of luxury chocolate. I’ve chosen colours/scents to suit the recipient so whilst similar each bag will be personalised. I picked up some pretty cellophane bags from Paperchase to put the items in. Haven’t costed mine up yet but suspect they will come in at around £5 – £6 per person as I have bought multipacks of things and split them up rather than individual items which has kept the cost down.

This looks fabby. As you say, alot of gift sets can be impersonal, and I also hate the amount of packaging waste that often houses the gift sets. I bought one of the Lush lips scrubs and it is awesome. I would eat it with a spoon if it wasn’t so great at getting rid of the ‘winter crispies’ on my lips.

    Love Vicky

I did this for my sisters birthday with lots of little make-up bits! 🙂
I think it’s a great present that seems more expensive.
