Current Christmas Cravings *sp

Christmas Nativity Set / Candy Canes / Boots Advent Calendar / Paper Chains / Empty Baubles / Tapestry Stocking / Christmas Countdown / Hanging Fabric Stars / Deer Ornament

I can’t lie, I’ve been browsing the internet (pinterest in particular) for Christmas ideas a lot lately and I know I will be stoned for posting this on the 9th October but I wasn’t sure I could hold it in any longer. I’m a biscuit away from putting up my Christmas blog header closely followed by my non virtual tree – as in IN MY HOUSE. Christmas is my absolute favourite time of year and so let this signify the start of many more festive posts and videos to come.

Moving on…These are a few of the items I have my eye on right now. As a kid we had a nativity and so once I had my own family I wanted one for my own home but they can be expensive.. I think this year I’ll finally bite the bullet. I’ll always remember putting out all the figured each year.. it was a tradition that I think my children would enjoy as much as I did. Another treasured childhood memory is of my stocking, unfortunately in my last house move it was lost and I’m still not totally over it but I’d really like to get personalised stockings for Milo & Ella for them to keep like I did – hopefully they’ll hold on to theirs. I’ll fess up.. I already bought the Boots advent calender.. £30 is steep but it’s half the cost of some others and everything will be at least vaguely budget friendly so I’m really excited about sharing that with you.. most likely on instagram but I’m considering a mini reveal post every day here on my blog, what do you think? The last highlight has to be these clear baubles which you can fill with whatever you choose and make totally personal. I love the idea of custom decorations and that the kids could have a bauble each to fill. although Milo’s would likely be full of biscuit crumbs.

I’m really trying to reign in my Christmas excitement but it’s proving difficult and once Milo’s birthday has passed (15th Nov) there will be no stopping me. When do you allow your Christmas spirit to escape?

Miss BB

I too am having terrible trouble controlling my christmas cravings. The other day I was listening to my Ipod on shuffle and a christmas song came on and I was extremely tempted to listen to it all the way through. But I managed to force myself to skip it, as I am a tad worried that I’ll peak too soon!

I’d like to indulge and purchase the boots advent calendar but I have rather too many other things I’d like to spend my pennies on so i’m not sure it will make the cut. So it would be good if you did mini reveal posts. That being said it may make me wish I’d purchased it!

I also like the clear baubles! I might nab that idea and use it to make novelty christmas presents and put christmas socks or little trinkets in.

Anyway, enough of my chat. Keep up the good work!

The Boots advent calendar is on the top of my list also. Β£30 is a bit steep but I think it looks like pretty good value for money.

I’m with you all the way! Christmas is my absolute favourite time of year – I love everything about it. And your own kids make it even more magical. I booked our ice skating session at Hampton Court on the day the box office opened. In September. Cannot wait!!

So glad I’m not the only one looking up Christmas ideas on Pinterest in October!!

Can’t decide whether to break tradition this year and ditch my little chocolate advent calendar for a beauty one! (Maybe I’ll get both haha!)

I too have had difficulty controlling my Christmas cravings! The other day I had my Ipod on shuffle and a Christmas tune came on but I managed to force myself to skip it. I’m a tad concerned that I’ll peak to soon.

I like the clear baubles I might borrow that idea and use them to put small, daft Christmas gifts in such as socks and other such trinkets! Or maybe I could do a decorated, personalised bauble and give them to my friends.

I’ve been toying with getting the beauty advent calendar, but I have so many others things I’d like to buy I think I will have to give it a miss. So it would be great if you did mini reveal posts. Although it may make me wish I’d purchased it.

Keep up the good work on the blog. It’s always a good read.

I want some clear empty baubles to fill with salt and little clay carrots and coal so that it looks like a melted snowman.
