Essence Express Nail Drops

I think the name of this is a little deceiving as you kind of expect it’s only for nail art or maybe you wouldn’t pick it up for just regular polish when of course it dries all polish not just nail art so y’know.. just wanted to get that off my chest first of all. Next.. oh wow these work! I was sent a bunch of essence goodies by a subscriber, Jenny (Hi Jenny!) a couple of weeks ago. She had my address from maybe 2 years go when she sent me some Ikea storage I couldn’t get my hands on near me and so I wasn’t expecting anything at all and was very surprised to open up the package to find she had sent it. but anyway.. the stand out product of the bunch has to be these express dry drops, I’ve never tried anything like them before and in all honesty just didn’t see how they could work but they do really speed up the drying time with no smudging.. very impressive!

Unfortunately these aren’t readily available in England but I know it’s a popular drugstore brand in Ireland and Fee from Makeup Savvy recently brought back some bits from her holiday in Lanzarote (post here) so perhaps they are easier to find in other european countries but I will definitely be open to trying other versions of this kind of thing now that I have seen that they can be quite effective!

Thanks again Jenny for introducing me to something awesome and of course the Christmas package x

I have this as well but don’t really like it as it leaves your hands really oily

OPI does a very similar product called Drip Dry and I love them. Expensive though, and I’m always on the hunt for a cheaper alternative.

I love essence. Such a handy brand because they bring out every type of nail product you could need. Haven’t tried this yet though.

Im from Croatia and we have Essence cosmetics here. To be honest, everything is more expensive then it is in UK. For example, one bottle of Essie nail polish here is 13-15$

Revlon no smudge dry oil is a similar product- you apply after your topcoat and it leaves nails shiny and dry! Brilliant- and I picked mine up in Savers for £1! x

I love the Essence range! I first saw it in a department store in Venice (yes yes, with all the beautiful sights in Venice I was looking at make up) I picked up a few nail polishes, some lipsticks, a couple of eyeshadows – so impressed with the quality for the price! I then almost died of joy when I saw they sold it in Primark of all places in Dublin (where its called “Penneys”) – I’d love it to come to the UK!
