Essie – Bangle Jangle

Apologies for the poor cuticles again, I was hiding this post in the hope I might repaint and retake but alas.. too many polishes, too little time, this will have to do. For those of you that don’t know I recently set myself the challenge of photographing each of my Essie shades on my nails in preparation for an Essie collection video. Rather than just hold up the bottles I want to insert a photo for each but that takes time and in an effort not to ravage my cuticles any more I don’t want to repaint and remove all in one day.. I don’t think my poor nails could take it. But anyway.. back to the review at hand, Bangle Jangle. This is one of the bargain shades I purchased sight unseen from Fragrance direct for the low low price of £2.99. Given that I didn’t even look up a swatch before ordering I was pleasantly surprised when this lavender blue arrived. I am a bit purple polish fan, that’s probably a post in itself so another notch in my blue hued rainbow was very welcome. It’s an opaque colour, not a hint of shimmer and it lasts well on nails both in finish and chip-resistancy. To achieve the glossy appearance I used the Essie Good To Go Top Coat, it’s one of my FAQ’s but I actually prefer the Sally Hansen Mega Shine. I’m reading this post back and wondering if it makes sense.. I am writing this as 11.40pm last Monday night and am very tired so might just call that a week. Night x

    That’s a very pretty colour!

You need Solar Oil for your cuticles–if you don’t already have it. (It’s the stuff a manicurist will dab on at the end of your manicure, usually in a larger bottle and smells like almonds). You can get it on Amazon. You paint it on over your cuticles and nail polish, then smudge it in with your fingertips, usually three or four times a week. It’s miraculously good (works on feet, too).

My nails are in need of some serious TLC – the winter is harsh on them — this colour is subtle but really pretty. £2.99 is a complete bargain for an Essie Polish

I just had an idea although it may sound silly why don’t you just paint each nail a different colour and hold the bottle up to each nail saving time and your nails 🙂 xx

Hi, …I love this colour but I always feel like I’m wearing some kind of undercoat. …I too am a fan of purple polish.
