Essie Blanc – Revisited

You may remember the first and last time I tried to wear this shade, if you don’t you can see/read that here. It did not go well and I had such high hopes for this opaque white shade. I love Essie’s Fiji which is a very similar formula, far less streaky than the pale/pastel shades I’ve tried from other brands and this was much the same, 3 coats and it’s bottle perfect. The only issue I have with this is the wear, it is white and so I guess I can’t expect the kind of longevity I might from others but it’s pretty terrible. Within a few hours it crackles and starts to scuff at the edges, it’s really not practical for more than a day and given that it’s not the fastest application as you do need that extra coat it’s not the ideal one off paint job.

Overall I wanted to revisit this because I wanted to love it but I just can’t. I do love how it looks freshly painted, bright white nails just look so cool in my opinion but I don’t think this is the best out there. I have my eye on an Orly one I’ve seen mentioned a few times on YouTube but if you can recommend me a great white polish please leave a comment because I’m just not ready to give up on this yet!
