Essie Lady Like

I bought this because it was on sale online, I admit. There’s no way on earth I’d have picked it up full price and even discounted in store.. it’s not a colour I’d be drawn to. It’s so beige and boring but as the name suggests, very polished and ‘ladylike’. It’s a nice addition to my polish collection and a nice warmer nude for Winter but it’s not something I’ll reach for often, I tend to be bolder with my nails than anything else. The formula is everything I’ve come to expect from Essie but unfortunately I had no top coat to hand so the poor (apologies) picture doesn’t really do it justice as the regular finish is dull. You do need a nice top coat to get the glossy look that lets face it makes everything look better and this especially would have benefited from that extra oomph.

Long and the short? It’s nice to have but I wouldn’t run out and repurchase.

You can still get this online for just £1.99 along with a whole host of other shades, happy shopping!

I think it looks very sophisticated on you (but I’m biased as I do love a good nude nail varnish!). I picked up quite a few of these from fragrance direct, love how reduced they are. I hadn’t tried Essie before because I’d thought they were too expensive x

I completely agree, very sophisticated but I generally wear a lot of black and grey wardrobe wise so I like a bit of something special on my nails lol
