Essie Spring ’17

Essie Spring '17 / Excuse Me Sur, Backseat Besties, Designated DJ

Backseat Besties / Excuse Me, Sur / Designated DJ

I’ve been really into Essie again recently, I went through a period of fast chipping and patchy applications but a switch has been flipped and suddenly everything is working for me. I thought the last collection may have been a fluke but no, these lasted almost a week as well so I’m fairly confident something has changed for the better.

Essie Spring '17 / Excuse Me Sur, Backseat Besties, Designated DJEssie Spring '17 / Excuse Me Sur, Backseat Besties, Designated DJSince it’s Easter I thought I’d try something seasonal with the design.. I’m all about nail art strips right now, the easiest way to add a creative twist to your manicure for those without a super steady hand. I’m planning on something simpler and more neutral for our Vegas Vacay next week but still.. have to use the strips, I’m obsessed. I realise now that I should have used more of the pinky ‘Backseat Bestie’s because the contrast isn’t huge between that and the peachy, ‘Excuse Me, Sur’ but they’re still different enough to need both 😉 right? Designated DJ isn’t necessarily a colour I’d reach for in the warmer months unless I was feeling extra vampy but pretty and very opaque, in fact all three were totally opaque in 3 coats.. I’m telling you, something is different!

What do you use to tape off your nails to create the designs?
