Strange name for a blog post? Perhaps but absolutely relevant, I promise! When Jergens told me they were sending over a Cherry-Almond themed package with their latest skin care release I wasn’t expecting a huge box with actual Bakewell Tarts (demolished by lee in 30 seconds) Cherry Drops and something I thought were mini eggs but I’m now assuming are some kind of sugared almonds.. we have no idea ’cause not one of us (including the child who took far longer to admit defeat) can break in to one. All this is by the by of course because among this mountain of sugary goodness was this tube of lotion and that’s what this is all about, isn’t it? I loved the last Jergens moisturiser I tried, it was super nourishing and gave me that still-hydrated feeling the following morning. This is just as good with the added bonus of making you smell delicious. I’m not a big almond fan so wasn’t expecting to love the scent but it’s actually very sweet and lovely, not too marzipanny but still gives the hint that you might have bathed with a bakewell tart. That’s not going to be for everyone but these marketing people are very clever and I’m sure the cherry-almond scent was chosen after much market research and the majority of the general public can’t get enough of it.
It’s very similar to my beloved Garnier 7 Day body lotion but a touch more buttery so for those that prefer a lotion to sit on the skin that little bit longer this is for you. Not ideal to apply immediately before dressing in the morning but a very nice treat at bed time in my experience!
