*Face Mask Friday* – Glam Glow Super Mud

IMG_1599

I was SO excited to try this mask, YouTubers and bloggers alike have RAVED about it so it HAD to be amazing, right? Well I’m not sure if it was the small amount in the sample sachet I received or what but it really did nothing for me at all – disappointing! I would potentially consider buying the full sized pot because I suspect I would use more than was available to me.. I probably should have used it on target areas such as nose and chin  to get a better result but I really was expecting miracles from this and there were no results to report whatsoever. Much with hair treatments that make grand promises and deliver nothing however I often wonder if perhaps I didn’t NEED as much help and so this is why I didn’t get any. My skin is pretty good of late so although I saw no great before/after I’m not sure what after I was looking for. I didn’t really have anything in the way of blemishes or blocked pores at the time but the name ‘glam glow’ suggested my skin may look a little brighter after use. I just think I wasn’t the right test subject in this case.

For the price I’m not sure I would buy it even if it DID have magical properties, there are plenty of other masks that I feel did more for me for a great deal less – for more face mask reviews click here!

Have you tried this? Did you feel it lived up to the hype?

I got the set which was £49 for both and used the white tub one which u have just reviewed and have to say I did notice my skin brighter after one use and softer but as for pores and anything else I agree with u very pricey xx

I’d love to try this out after the reviews I’ve read but the price tag is just way too steep for me 🙁

I know you can get little sample pots in Sephora in the US so it might be worth checking out over there but I think it’s way too expensive to buy here. I’d sooner try the ones they have in boots.

I am always concerned that dark coloured masks will make my pores show up too much! I’m loving Ren’s invisible pore mask right now, sounds quite similar to this 🙂

This mask is definitely for more problem skins and I guess those skin types will see the most noticeable results. I use the other mask by Glam Glow called YouthMud (the one that is apparently popular with the celebs!). It really is a wonder mask and is great for skin that just needs a pick me up! It really does leave my skin glowing and I would definitely recommend it! X

Is there a reason why you never put face mask between your top lip and nose? I always put masks everywhere but my eyes.

There are definitely other face masks out there that are wayy cheaper and do just as good as of a job. I haven’t personally tried this but I wouldn’t dream of spending that much on a face mask, Origins are good for the £20+ mark, but I’ve recently been using Una Brennan’s range which is £8.99 and it’s amazing!!

I swear by the boots mudd mask (£4.99 for a pouch roughly 10 applications) it draws oil out of my pores and makes me feel much more fresh faced.

Sooooooo expensive for something I’d only use once a week at most, I always think you should invest in the things that you use most like foundation!

It’s a shame you didn’t like it but maybe you needed more product and would see benefit’s after using a more few times. It’s hard to tell because it’s so expensive and like you I don’t want to splash out on this and it doesn’t work.

I’ve heard about it and seen it hauled too and I really want to try it myself so I’m definitely going to try it out when I can find it for a good price.

I think I have a mask curse, every mask I have ever tried just sucks! I am sorry this one didn’t work out for you, hopefully its the size of the sample and not the mask itself.

I’d love to try this mask. I’ll hopefully be able to get my hands on a sample, too!

I have a sample of this too and have been meaning to use it! I’ll review it soon & I’ll be curious to see if I come to the same conclusion you did. xo Kelly http://msdioraddict.blogspot.com/
