*Face Mask Friday* Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Salt & Seawed

IMG_6634

For years I didn’t know that Seaweed helped oil control, I thought it was just some fancy ingredient people put in skin care but had no idea what it really did so if you were like me then perhaps this will be enlightening. Also, I really like fabric masks.. I never used to but now they’re less messy and somewhat more relaxing, I don’t know why.. perhaps because you almost HAVE to lay down while you’re wearing it in order to keep it on your face.. regardless it really was very calming.

It’s also supposed to cleanse which is strange unless you use it as a face wipe afterwards but I guess it could draw something our of your skin while it’s sitting there. For me this is just very relaxing and something about the salt/seaweed combination leaves me looking matte and seems to help control oil the day after I’ve applied it too – bonus! My only annoyance with paper masks is that my face seems about half the size of what they expect it to be.. I’m not sure how much larger faces get than mine.. I don’t have the most delicate features and my head isn’t tiny but they seem to assume we have massive faces.. I’d be interested to see if I’ve offended anyone with that comment (apologies if so) but even more interested to find out I have an abnormally small head..

I’ve used this one a few months ago & gave them a try with my boyfriend and we had the same problem of it being too big for our faces, but I do agree I stayed matte for a while too. I do like these facemasks and will be repurchasing some :).
Love the facemask Friday posts!! X

I’ve used one of these recently and totally agree about the size thing it’s like waaay too baggy on my face and I think my face is normal size.. hopefully! Really nice not have to faff around taking it off like you do with other facemasks though!

I’ve been getting really into sheet masks recently 🙂 though they never really seem to fit my face either! haha
