*Face Mask Friday* – Montagne Jeunesse Very Berry

I feel like every mask I review is so much of a muchness recently.. they smell like this, feel like that but do little to nothing for my skin. I still use them of course and try new ones all the time but these days I expect little. I spotted this purple (favourite colour) mask while deviating from my weekly shop a little while ago and have since repurchased it several times, I am so impressed! It really does smell good and it’s got a bizarre metallic finish to it but most of all I can actually feel a difference in my skin after using it and that’s quite something. It smooths and everything feels tighter, just a bit special in my book.. and for £1 a go it’s definitely worth a go.

The consistency is unusual too.. somewhere between clay and gel, it does set on the skin but it’s not hard and wouldn’t crack. I have combination skin and I don’t think this would do much for oil control but if you’re normal/dry you may see additional benefits.. I think it’s more nourishing than deep cleansing. If you’ve tried this and are a different skin type (or even the same, heck all opinions matter, right?) I’d love to hear from you ’cause this is one of the best skin treats I’ve tried in ages and I would love to know if any of you agree.

I love the masks from MJ, especially the Chocolate Orange one so if you haven’t tried it already then you need to! It’s gorgeous and you want to eat it! I’ve not tried Very Berry but if i see it next time I’m in the shops I’ll be popping it into my basket!

I reviewed this back in November when my skin was going through a dry patch. I was hoping it would be a little more hydrating but on the whole I agree with what you’ve said about it 🙂

Been using this for the past few weeks now and I love it. Clears up my dry/combination skin a treat and leaves it feeling super soft. I’ve also been using the green tea peel off mask and that’s just as good, has a lovely scent and leaves skin feeling fresh and clean.

Placing this mask on my “to try” list. I can’t seem to find one that doesn’t dry out my skin 🙁
