*Face Mask Friday* Organic Surge First Class Mask – Revisited

This post is a week late but better that than never, right? When I ran the Organic Surge giveaway at the end of last month I promised an updated review of this mask.. I used my first bottle up over the course of a year and the consistency changed completely.. that and by the end it was almost neon yellow. When a product changes so gradually you don’t notice but having now using a few pumps of a fresh batch I would say it has a shelf life of 6 months before it starts to turn.

When it’s at it’s best it’s one of my favourite masks and for those of you who dislike the clay based formulas that harden and are an absolute bitch to get off your face this is a refreshing change of pace. It’s gentle and feels hydrating but it still deep cleans, I remarked in a recent video that I’d not suffered a break out in months.. well I spoke too soon because that evening I tried this and I had a pimple on my chin the very next day. It’s odd really because it feels like a thick moisturiser so you can’t imagine it drawing our your impurities but it really does and it smells delish in the process.. very zesty and refreshing!

The only thing I miss with this mask is that fresh, tight feeling you get after the more traditional ones. That squeaky clean feeling tricks you in to thinking you’ve had instant results.. but I know it’s just an illusion so I can make my peace with it.. it’s just one of those things, you get used to something and it can be tough to change the way you think about things but this was definitely worth the shot.

The winners of the giveaway have all been contacted now, congrats to those picked. If you’ve tried the mask don’t forget to leave a comment and let us know how you found it, skincare isn’t one sizer fits all so there’s room for as many reviews as we can get!

Available online priced £8.49

unrelated but your nails look fantastic in that product post!

very hard to find organic surge here as far as I know, so I’m unlikely to find this, but it does seem like an intriguing mask.

This was a long time favourite with me. If you haven’t tried it, the Daily Care Face wash is wonderful too.

Good morning! My friend and I have recently started a blog – http://www.thekatspaws.wordpress.com and we wondered how to get followers and how to get invited to press events and blogger evenings etc? Any help would be most appreciated. Love Kathryn and Emily xxx
