As a blogger I don’t just justify my purchases on a cost per wear/use basis but also a cost per mention.. For the times I’ve told you all you must try this product it must have cost me 50p per bottle (and there have been many bottles) so although here I am talking it up again, I really do love it, it’s such a great multi-tasker and given that I gain new readers all the time (Hi New Readers!) I can’t run the risk that someone of you are yet to hear about this wonderstuff from me. So if you’ve heard this chatter before feel free to move on now but for those who haven’t.. this is one of my favourite masks.. and it’s a cleanser.
When I first used this cleansing milk from Soap & Glory I immediately noticed the minty/fruity scent but not much else. The next time I left it on while I had my bath and when I washed it off my skin was red and almost sore.. for me this was the making of perhaps the most amazing skincare product ever. I know lots (most) of you will dislike that tingly, almost unpleasant sensation that some skincare generates, some people would (and have) sacked it off then and there as a bad reaction, not me. I like to feel something working and once my skin returned to it’s normal uber pale shade it was the smoothest it had felt in years. From then on I would leave it on for 10 minutes every night in the bath (that’s right, I get a bath every night.. and I have a shower.. I just prefer it.. madness!) then buff it away with my clarisonic and bobs your uncle, pink but smooth skin. I think it was the REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask that made me decided to start using this for longer, it seemed to do the same thing, tingled when I used it, revealed a new layer of smoother skin.. but it was considerably more expensive. I’m no skincare expert so I’m not going to go in to comparing ingredients because I can’t tell you how confused I am by the different glycols and what they do but I can tell you that this and the REN have a very similar effect on my skin and much as I love it I just couldn’t justify purchasing the REN for £30 for 50ml when Peaches & Clean is £7.00 for 200ml. Just as I’ve said about my Clarisonic in the past, I’m sure the more expensive skincare is doing something spectacular and is so much better for you (maybe) but for the physical results I can see.. I wouldn’t repurchase when their are drugstore equivalents that do a great job.
Please be aware that this may not be suitable for you if you have sensitive skin as the ingredients are active and even I felt the tingling sensation and my skin isn’t the least bit sensitive but also bear in mind that it’s not the end of the world if you skin is a little tender or red, it will die down and you may find the results are amazing!
